How Does Praying His Word's Online Prayer System Work?

Praying His Word is an online bible prayer system that helps you to pray God’s Will for your life. The prayers are all based on Scripture, so with each prayer you pray with the system, you are praying God’s Will. The prayer system is set up to create customized prayer sessions for each member. Members have full control over who they pray for by name, as well as the prayer topics chosen for each.

After a person chooses either a Semi-Annual or an Annual Membership, they can create their own Prayer Profile, in which they indicate their name, gender, marital status, whether they have children, and the name of their home church. If they are married, they also put their spouse's name in the profile, and if they are engaged, they can put their fiance's name. Once the Prayer Profile has been created, members can add names of people they would like to include in their prayers, and can also add names of Pastors they would like to pray for as well.

Each New Prayer Session prompts the member to select prayer topics in multiple prayer sections:

For Praises to God – you can praise God specifically for His Attributes, including His Holiness, His Goodness, His Sovereignty, or His Omniscience (note- this is not a complete list)! There are currently 12 different prayer topics in which you can lift your specific praise to the Lord.

For prayers of Thanksgiving to God, you can thank God for the things He provides you, including Love, Forgiveness, Courage, Peace, Provision, or Wisdom (again, this is not a complete list). There are currently 12 different prayer topics in which you can give your thanks to God.

For Petitions for Yourself, you can pray for help in any area of your life you need help, including (for example) Anger, Being a Godly Spouse, Evangelism, Temptation, Purity, Grief, or Humility. We currently have 30 different prayer topics you can pray for yourself!

If a member is married and/or has children (as indicated in their Prayer Profile), then their prayer topics will include choices to pray for help being a Godly Husband or a Godly Wife, or help with Parenting.

For Petitions for Others, you can pray for them in whatever areas you feel they need help from God, including (for example) Salvation, Healing, Endurance, Fear, or Stewardship. We currently have 28 different prayer topics you can pray for others!

Members can select a different prayer topic for each person in their prayer list, depending on the needs of that person at that time.

For Prayers for Church, you can pray for different areas your church needs help, such as Unity, Growth, Stewardship, and Service. We have 7 different prayer topics you can pray for your church.
For Prayers for Pastors, you can pray for your pastors in areas that pastors need specific help in, such as Character, Protection from Evil, and Preaching. Of course, you can include your Pastor in the “Petitions for Others” section of your prayers to pray for them in general needs, but the pastor area has needs specific to pastors. We currently have 5 different prayer topics specific to pastors.

After the prayer topic selections are made in each prayer category, the system creates the prayer session for the member, providing multiple Bible verse prayers for each topic selected.

For example, if a member selected "God is Holy" as their Praise topic, the system would provide 9 verse prayers to pray on that topic, including “Who among the gods is like you, O Lord? Who is like you - majestic in holiness, awesome in glory, working wonders? (Exodus 15:11).”

If a member selected "Love" as their Thanksgiving topic, the system would provide 5 verse prayers to pray, including “I thank you, Lord God, that you demonstrate your own love for me in this: While I was still a sinner, Christ died for me. (Romans 5:8).”
